Exploring Writing and Cafes in Fells Point

Last night, Jessie and I had our first writing session since… she moved to Denver.

You see, we used to meet periodically with our laptops and notebooks at a little cafe in Columbia, MD to take notes, talk shop, and brainstorm about whatever writing projects we were working on at the time.

Now that Jessie lives in Baltimore and I live just outside the city, we agreed to find a new writer’s cafe. Continue reading “Exploring Writing and Cafes in Fells Point”

The Ultra-Secret First Draft – Total Reveal!

I just finished reading the first draft of Jessie’s first novel, and I’m going to reveal everything about the novel against her wishes say as little as possible to avoid her furious flailing.

Jessie, in advance, I apologize. I knew you would not let me do this without your prior approval, so I had to be sneaky. Continue reading “The Ultra-Secret First Draft – Total Reveal!”

Steve D: Remember when we talked about having philosophical debates with with each other and posting them as dialogues? Let’s do that. In this email chain. I will pose the first question, and we’ll keep emailing back and forth until we reach some kind of conclusion (or impasse). Then you pose a related, but tangential question to begin anew in a fresh email chain. This means that you should actually check your email. Like probably at least once per day.
