I am interested in exploring the art of storytelling in all of its forms. Music especially has always been an emotional and creative outlet for me.
Here’s a diverse, but not exhaustive list of storytellers who have influenced or changed the way I perceive the world, the way we tell stories, or my own writing. You will definitely see many of these names crop up in my writing here. I could probably add to this list indefinitely:
- Emily Armstrong
- Anthony Bourdain
- George Carlin
- Michael Che
- Louis CK
- Sean Daley (Slug)
- Dave Grohl
- Lzzy Hale
- Brian Jacques
- Robert Jordan
- George R.R. Martin
- Neil Peart
- Edgar Allen Poe
- Mike Rowe
- Genndy Tartakovsky
- J.R.R. Tolkien
- Bill Watterson

For now, here is a condensed version of my creative writing portfolio.
The Warden of Everfeld: Memento
I am now revising the first draft of a novel – about 180,000 words. The Warden of Everfeld: Memento is a fantasy story set in an alternate universe of my creation. WoEM is the first installment of a much wider world-building project in which I will explore stories over a vast geographic and temporal span; a continent full of various peoples and cultures, set in a timeline spanning 1,000+ years. This particular story is part one of a two-part series, with other stories to follow!
“Wolf’s Moon Night” – a short story in my alternate universe was published on Five on the Fifth on February 5, 2017!
NaNoWriMo 2014-2016: I have participated in National Novel Writing Month in each of the last three years, writing about 80,000 words combined.
Skeleton City Comics: I am currently collaborating with a friend and comic book artist on a comic to be published on Skeleton City Comics. I am doing the bulk of the writing for the comic, and I will most definitely be sharing the first chapter, which we hope to have published at some point this century.
Racontouring: I began keeping a travel blog after a two-week romp through Europe during the summer of 2012. I have visited 17 foreign countries, and I love taking road trips around the US. Travel is one of my great passions, and sharing my experiences (and photos) with friends and family has been a fantastic outlet for my writing and observations. I update it periodically with new articles/photographs.
