Steven D’Adamo

I am a fantasy author interested in exploring the art of storytelling in all of its forms.

The Warden of Everfeld: Memento

My first novel, The Warden of Everfeld: Memento, was published July 18, 2018. WoEM is a fantasy story set in an alternate universe of my creation.

The Warden of Everfeld: Memento – a low fantasy adventure

“Wolf’s Moon Night” – a short story in my alternate universe was published on Five on the Fifth on February 5, 2017!

“Wolf’s Moon Night” – a dark fantasy horror story

These stories are part of a much larger world-building project I’ve been working on for…

six years! I have many more stories planned, but very few I’m willing to talk about at the moment. Here’s what’s on the official unofficial docket:

  • A not-yet-announced series for 2019. Details coming soon! Publication: 2019
  • The Warden of Everfeld: Legacy  – a low fantasy novel, and follow-up (not sequel) to The Warden of Everfeld: Memento. Publication: TBD

Storytellers who Have Influenced Me

Here’s a diverse, but not exhaustive list of storytellers who have influenced or changed the way I perceive the world, the way we tell stories, or my own writing. You will definitely see many of these names crop up in my writing here. I could probably add to this list indefinitely:

  • Emily Armstrong
  • Anthony Bourdain
  • George Carlin
  • Michael Che
  • Louis CK
  • Sean Daley (Slug)
  • Dave Grohl
  • Lzzy Hale
  • Brian Jacques
  • Robert Jordan
  • George R.R. Martin
  • Neil Peart
  • Edgar Allen Poe
  • Mike Rowe
  • Genndy Tartakovsky
  • J.R.R. Tolkien
  • Bill Watterson

For now, here is a condensed version of my creative writing portfolio.

Creative Projects

NaNoWriMo 2014-2017: I have participated in National Novel Writing Month in each of the last four years, writing about 80,000 words combined.

Racontouring: I began keeping a travel blog after a two-week romp through Europe during the summer of 2012. I have visited 17 foreign countries, and I love taking road trips around the US. Travel is one of my great passions, and sharing my experiences (and photos) with friends and family has been a fantastic outlet for my writing and observations. I update it periodically with new articles/photographs.
